Truth. What is it? So many messages are flying this way and that. We are told that we must believe this to fit in. We are told that if we don't agree, we are simply rude and stuck in the past. On the other hand, if we choose to love, we are told that we are being to tolerant and not standing up for our faith. What is a person to believe?
Well, here's the truth. No matter who you are, what you've done, who you think you are attracted to, what gender you think you are, who your friends are, how old you are, where you are from, where you live, your job, your physical or mental capabilities, your Vocation, or anything else that you think defines you, at the core of it all, you are LOVED BY GOD.
God says that you are loved (John 3:16).
He says that you are His (Isaiah 43: 1).
He says that you are chosen (Ephesians 1:4)
God says that you are His Child (1 John 3:1).
He says that you are created good (Genesis 1:31).
He says that you can be free (Romans 6:6).
These are the things that define you. These are the things that make you, you.
You were created for love, for intimacy, for friendship. You were created to be delighted in. The truth is, no matter where you look for that love- no matter what type of person you think you are attracted to, no matter who you love- your desire for love will only be fulfilled by a relationship with God.
I have found this so true in my own life. While friendship is wonderful and my boyfriend is the greatest man I ever could have asked for, he (and my friends), will never be able to fill the space in my heart that was created to love and be loved. Only God can do that. And He will. He does.
And I promise the same applies to you, too. Whether you realize it or not, this is the truth: You were created for true love- the Love that can only be found with God. ❤️
